Egbado College was founded in 1951 as the first Secondary Grammar School in the whole of the then Egbado Division. This was the fruit of the seed planted by the Egbado Union. (Based in Lagos) which mobilized the Egbado people to start contributing one shilling (10k) as far back as 1943 towards establishing this Community School.
We, the past student of Egbado college, Ilaro voluntarily, individually, and collectively resolved to form an association under the umbrella of the above mentioned name solemnly subscribed to the following:-
(a) To preserve the name and promote the image of Egbado College, Ilaro.
